Police are asking for your help in locating a man who robbed a IHOP restaurant in Peoria.

The Peoria Police Department said the man walked into the IHOP on the 10600 block of W. Olive Avenue just after 1 a.m. on May 24 and told employees he was going to place a to-go order. When customers left, he gave a worker a note demanding money and showed her a gun. Once the suspect got the money, he ran into the nearby neighborhood, according to police.

Surveillance video showed the man, who appears to have tattoos on both calves and was wearing dark-colored glasses, leaving the restaurant. The suspect is described as a Caucasian or Hispanic man in his late teens to mid-20s and has a medium build.
