CHANDLER, AZ (CBS5) -

A child found at the bottom of a pool in Chandler on Wednesday morning was revived and taken to a Chandler hospital.

The 3-year-old was found by his parents, who estimated he was under water for a minute or two, said Tom Dwiggins of the Chandler Fire Department.

The parents started chest compressions and revived the child, who was alert and crying, Dwiggins said.

The pool was in the back of home near Gilbert and Queen Creek roads.

Dwiggins said the child was taken to the hospital as a precaution.

No other information was immediately available.
