37 pounds of pot found in tire at AZ salvage yard

FLAGSTAFF, AZ (CBS5) -

Police are looking for a suspect after a customer and worker at a salvage yard in Coconino County came across dozens of pounds of marijuana in a tire.

The Coconino County Sheriff's Office said the customer was trying to remove the tire from a pile of scrap tires and the employee tried to take the tire from the rim on Tuesday when they found the 37 pounds of pot between the tire and the rim.

The worker at U-Pick-It Salvage Yard on Leupp Road called the sheriff's office and when they arrived they found a total of 12 individually wrapped packages, valued at about $23,125.

Anyone with information is asked to call Coconino County Sheriff's Office at 928-774-4523.
