SEDONA, AZ (CBS5) -

A woman, who was with her fiance on rented ATVs, was killed when her rented quad crashed near a trail in Sedona Wednesday.

The Yavapai County Sheriff's Office said the victim's fiance was riding on an ATV in front of her when he noticed in his rearview mirror that she crashed.

YCSO said it happened about 2:15 p.m. near Loy Butte Trail off Forest Road 525.

A Jeep tour group in the area stopped to help until paramedics arrived.

When deputies arrived, they were told 33-year-old Nadiya Zaverbna died.

She was not wearing a helmet.

Deputies are investigating the cause of the crash.

According to Zaverbna's LinkedIn profile, she was the owner and CEO of a logistics and chipping company about 20 miles west of New York City.
