AHWATUKEE, AZ (CBS5) -

Two people were found dead of gunshot wounds in an Ahwatukee home Monday afternoon, Phoenix police said.

A 56-year-old woman and a 61-year-old man were discovered in an upstairs bedroom of a home in the 3700 block of East Long Lake Road, said Phoenix police Sgt. Steve Martos.

Martos said the male victim placed a call to a family member a short time before the shooting. Officers had to make a forced entry into the home.

Homicide detectives are at the scene. No search has been mounted for a possible suspect, Martos said.
