Tucson, AZ- On Saturday evening, June 15th, Tucson Speedway, the NASCAR paved track at the Pima County Fairgrounds, formerly known as Tucson Raceway Park, will host the Rick Sipes Inaugural Memorial Race.
The event will feature Late Model cars but those aren't the only vehicles in this exciting night of action! Sportsman, Start Stocks, X-Mods, Mini Stocks and Hornets will also be racing that night. The fan ticket booth opens at 5pm and races start at 7pm.
The event will honor the late Rick Sipes, owner of Sunset Screen Printing, in Tucson. He was an avid racer and car club member. He used to race Late Models, Sprint Cars and Modifieds. Rick passed away two years ago and is survived by his wife, Connie, daughter, Alisa and granddaughter, Aly . Rick's wife and daughter will be available for interviews at the event.

Tucson Speedway has been renovated. The racing surface has been repaired and sealed with a double coat of a high grade quality sealer, new boards are on the bleachers, the tower areas, the VIP area, the grandstands, the restrooms, the concession area have been remodeled and upgraded.
The new owners have made repairs and upgrades to the Tire and Fuel Barn, the Tech Shed and to the Back Gate Registration Office.
