TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

The big day is here for two Tucson families as they become homeowners with the help of Habitat for Humanity.

The Jordan family is happy to move into their new home with their 1-year-old, and the Hernandez family is moving into a nearby home.

It's been a nine-month process and each family member has put their hard work into their new place with 200 volunteer hours.

Altogether five Habitat families are getting the keys to their homes and a bright, new future this month.

All the families will be honored in a special celebration during three consecutive Thursdays  this month - today, June 20, and June 27 - at 10 a.m.

They will cutting the ribbons, handing over the keys, and celebrating the families as well as donors and volunteers.
