2013 monsoon off to a wild start!

What a way to kick off the monsoon!

We had a little moisture creep into the state starting Thursday June 13th and it stuck around through the following Saturday, which as the first day of Monsoon 2013.

Thursday a few mountain storms fired up in Greenlee County.

We also had a few storms in the higher terrain of Cochise County.

Friday, as high pressure off in Texas pushed westward, that allowed more moisture to push into the state.

Friday midday we had numerous storms from the New Mexico border stretching westward into the east side of Tucson.

Saturday the action blew up even more and all of southeast Arizona had numerous storms fire up and hammer parts of the area.
