Dropping humidity bumps up Arizona fire restrictions

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Anyone planning acamping trip or other activity on the public lands of Arizona should leave acampfire out of their plans.  The same goes for smoking.  Firemanagers increased restrictions Wednesday so that any open flame, other thangas stoves and lanterns, is prohibited.  The dry conditions have madewildfire concerns too great to allow campfires right now.

But restrictions canvary from local to state to federal lands.  Check http://wildlandfire.az.govor call the toll-free Southwest Fire Restrictions Hotline at 1-877-864-6985 tosee what the rules and penalties are where you plan to go.
