OKLAHOMA CITY (WAFB) -

LSU picked up a huge commitment Monday night when Deondre Clark announced he would play his college football in Tiger Stadium.

Clark is a 4-star, 6-foot-3 240-pound defensive end from Oklahoma City's Douglass High School.

He called head coach Les Miles Monday night to give him the good news.

Clark was on campus during LSU's spring game and wanted to commit while in Baton Rouge, but decided to wait to announce his college football plans after talking with his mother.

"It feels like home when I'm down there," Clark said. "I really wanted to play in the SEC, because it's all about football down there, and that's what I love."

He picked LSU over Alabama, Florida, Notre Dame, USC, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Texas.

Dylan Thompson threw for three touchdowns and No. 24 South Carolina's maligned defense stood strong on a fourth-quarter goal line stand to topple No. 6 Georgia 38-35 on Saturday night.
No. 24 South Carolina's defense showed it's not nearly as bad as it looked two weeks ago - and maybe that No. 6 Georgia isn't the runaway favorite in the Southeastern Conference Eastern Division.

Georgia can establish itself as a top-tier beast if it gets by South Carolina this weekend - and USC would drop to 0-2 in the league with a loss. Tennessee travels to Oklahoma, where Coach Bob Stoops doesn't believe the SEC is all-powerful.
