ETX sports reporter charged with sexual assault of a child

TYLER, TX (KLTV) -

An East Texas man turned himself in to police on Wednesday night on a charge of sexual assault of a child.

Harold Wilson, 35, is accused of having improper relations with a child in his church, and is being held in the Smith County jail on a $100,000 bond.

Wilson is a sports reporter for the Tyler Morning Telegraph.

Tyler police tell us that the charge is a second-degree felony.
