Bond set for woman charged in fatal Hopple St. crash

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

Bond was set Thursday for a woman indicted for a fatal crash last February on the Hopple Street viaduct.

Latonya Colbert, 39, is facing two charges of aggravated vehicular homicide. She is being held on $100,000 bond.

Colbert was driving her Chevrolet Impala westbound on the viaduct towards Western Northern Blvd, went left of center and hit Tony Smith, 57, head-on.

Smith was taken to the hospital, where he died.

Police say alcohol was a factor in the crash.

Colbert is being held at the Hamilton County Justice Center. Her next court appearance is scheduled for Wednesday, July 17.
