Sun Tran responds to problems with smart card system

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Sun Tran says it's addressing issues with its new smart card fare payment system.  SunGo launched on Sunday, but some passengers report having trouble getting the cards recognized by readers that take them.

"We want to assure passengers that if this happens, the driver will let them board until we fix the problems," says Kate Riley, General Manager of Sun Tran, in a press release addressing problems.

Sun Tran is asking passengers to call (520) 792-9222 or email with their SunGO Card number, contact information and a brief description of the problem they are experiencing.
