4th of July fireworks after the T'Pads game

Posted: Updated:

The largest fireworks show of the season will follow the Tucson Padres game for our Star Spangled Spectacular on Thursday, July 4th. The Padres take on the Las Vegas 51s at Kino Stadium. Some of the music during the fireworks will include Born in the USA by Bruce Springsteen; America by Neil Diamond; Living in America by James Brown; R.O.C.K. in the U.S.A. by John Mellencamp; and God Bless the USA by Lee Greenwood. Tucson band GRIND will perform before and after the game. Nine active military in uniform from DMAFB will join the Padres on the field at their positions for the national anthem. A moment of silence will take place prior to the national anthem in honor of the 19 fallen firefighters from Yarnell.

The kids will be allowed to run the bases following the fireworks. The Padres have also scheduled a fireworks show following our July 5th game.
