There is a long list of events and fireworks shows in Southern Arizona. The biggest one of all might just be the ‘A' Mountain fireworks show.
Many people still have a full day of barbecuing, swimming and maybe a nap or two ahead of them before the main attraction. Set up is underway now on ‘A' Mountain.
Tucson News Now has been told there will be 1,300 fireworks lit up tonight above Downtown Tucson, when the show starts at 9:15 p.m.
Festivities, including food vendors and a beer garden are kicking off even sooner than that. The food and beer area will be set up in the Tucson Convention Center, visitors will choose from burgers, hot dogs, ice cream and of course the garden; this kicks off at 7 p.m.
Those who wish to watch the fireworks up close, remember throughout the day there will be barricades up and roads closed in the downtown area. Starting around 5 p.m. police will be shutting down streets and directing traffic.
There are several places to watch the show tonight, if planning on heading down to watch the show, TPD is reminding residents to give themselves plenty of time to navigate around the closures and to find parking.
‘A' Mountain is still off limits due to fireworks set up. Remember the explosions lighting up the sky tonight begins at 9:15 p.m.
