TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - There isa long list of events and fireworks shows in Southern Arizona. The biggest one of all might just be the 'A'Mountain fireworks show.
Manypeople still have a full day of barbecuing, swimming and maybe a nap or twoahead of them before the main attraction. Set up is underway now on 'A' Mountain.
TucsonNews Now has been told there will be 1,300 fireworks lit up tonight aboveDowntown Tucson, when the show starts at 9:15 p.m.
Festivities,including food vendors and a beer garden are kicking off even sooner thanthat. The food and beer area will be setup in the Tucson Convention Center, visitors will choose from burgers, hotdogs, ice cream and of course the garden; this kicks off at 7 p.m.
Those whowish to watch the fireworks up close, remember throughout the day there will bebarricades up and roads closed in the downtown area. Starting around 5 p.m. police will beshutting down streets and directing traffic.
There areseveral places to watch the show tonight, if planning on heading down to watchthe show, TPD is reminding residents to give themselves plenty of time tonavigate around the closures and to find parking.
