BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

The district attorney in Baton Rouge said suspended LSU running back Jeremy Hill has been charged as a result of a fight that happened earlier this year.

District Attorney Hillar Moore said Hill and another man will face misdemeanor simple battery charges after a fight in the parking lot of Reggie's Bar in April. Moore said Hill and the other man, Robert Bayardo, were charged Monday and will be arraigned Friday.

Hill's 2013 season was already in question because of his probation stemming from an incident that happened when he was still in high school. According to Judge Bonnie Jackson's office, Hill is still scheduled for a hearing on his probation on August 16.

LSU head coach Les Miles suspended Hill until this case is settled.

Dylan Thompson threw for three touchdowns and No. 24 South Carolina's maligned defense stood strong on a fourth-quarter goal line stand to topple No. 6 Georgia 38-35 on Saturday night.
No. 24 South Carolina's defense showed it's not nearly as bad as it looked two weeks ago - and maybe that No. 6 Georgia isn't the runaway favorite in the Southeastern Conference Eastern Division.
