Border Patrol seizes 5,200 pounds of pot near Naco

TUCSON, AZ (CBS5) -

Nearly 5,200 pounds of marijuana was seized near Naco by Tucson Sector Border patrol agents on Sunday, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection said.

Detection technology alerted agents from the Brian A. Terry Border Patrol Station and when they arrived at the scene, they discovered three abandoned vehicles.

Agents said they found a combined 334 bundles of marijuana worth around $2.6 million. The vehicles were seized. The narcotics will be turned over to the DEA.
