UA student named among White House summer interns

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - The White House announced the list of its Summer 2013 interns on Tuesday.

University of Arizona Wildcat Trevor Gervais of Tucson is one of 147 undergraduate and graduate students chosen across the country for the White House Internship Program.

The internship is intended toprepare those devoted to public service for future leadership opportunities, according to a news release.

Interns work in the following departments: DomesticPolicy Council, the National Economic Council, the Office of Cabinet Affairs,the Office of Chief of Staff, the Office of Communications, the Office ofDigital Strategy, the Office of the First Lady, the Office of LegislativeAffairs, the Office of Management and Administration, the Office ofPresidential Correspondence, the Office of Presidential Personnel, the Officeof Public Engagement and Intergovernmental Affairs, the Office of Schedulingand Advance, the Office of the Vice President, the Office of the White HouseCounsel, and the Office of White House Fellows.
