Two Cochise County girls missing this morning

COCHISE COUNTY, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

The Cochise County Sheriff's Department is reporting two young girls are missing this morning. 

According to CCSO they received a call about two missing girls, 14-year-old Haley Churney and 5-year-old Brittany Marshal, are cousins, were found missing around 12:45 a.m., from the 200 block of North Carmichael Avenue in Sierra Vista.

Both girls were reported in the home around the time the rain started Tuesday night, about 8 p.m., according to CCSO.  The cousins were going outside to look for tadpoles at a nearby wash, according to family members, and were noticed missing around 12:45 a.m. Wednesday morning.

The Cochise County Search and Rescue was called in to search and found no one in or around the wash area.

Haley Churney is described as 4 feet tall, weighing between 80 – 90 pounds, with hazel eyes, and blond shoulder length hair.  She was last seen wearing a green shirt and dark colored pants.

Brittany Marshal is 3 feet tall, weighing 50 lbs, with blue eyes and blond hair.  She was last seen wearing a pink and white shirt and pink skirt.

According to CCSO the girls may have left the home with some personal belongings, due to some recent family issues.  The two girls are listed as missing and endangered due to the severe weather conditions.

Anyone with information on the girls is asked to call 9-1-1 or 432-9500, all calls will remain confidential.
