Police seek help identifying auto theft suspect

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Tucson police are asking for help identifying a man who police say is a suspect in an auto theft investigation.

The man is described as a Caucasian with brown hair, 5'10" to 6'00" tall, approximately 230 to 250 pounds. He has a tattoo of unknown design on his lower right leg.

Police released a photograph of the man that was taken from surveillance video footage.

According to police, the man was seen in the 7300 block of East Rosewood in the driver's seat of a truck that was being towed. Security guards in the area made contact with the man, who was left behind by the person who had been towing the truck. After speaking with the security guards, the man left, abandoning the truck.

Later, the truck was reported stolen from a nearby residence. It has been returned to the victim.

Anyone with information about the man's identity or whereabouts is urged to call 911 or 88-CRIME.
