'Serial Shooter's' death declared suicide

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

The death of an inmate on death row has been deemed a suicide.

Dale Hausner, 40, was found unresponsive in his cell on June 19. Reports released by the Pinal County Medical Examiner Thursday reveal his death was caused by amitriptyline intoxication.

Hausner, also referred to as the "Serial Shooter," was convicted of 80 crimes, including six counts of first degree murder, attempted murder, aggravated assault, cruelty to animals, among others.

His criminal summary and inmate record are attached.
