Suspected DUI driver flips vehicle in Green Hills

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A suspected drunk driver's car is a mangled mess after a serious rollover wreck in Green Hills.

The car ripped though a power pole and landed on its hood in the middle of Woodmont Boulevard near the intersection with West Chase Drive intersection.

Police said the driver was up and walking around when officials arrived.

Neighbors said the impact was so intense that lights flickered in a few nearby homes.

The driver was taken by ambulance to a local hospital for observation.

Police believe alcohol played a factor in the crash.
