Hundreds of backpacks to be given away at zoo

About 300 backpacks full of school supplies will be given away. About 300 backpacks full of school supplies will be given away.
TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

If your kids are in need of school supplies you have a chance to get your hands on some at the Reid Park Zoo this weekend.

About 300 backpacks full of school supplies will be given away at an event sponsored by the Alliance for School Choice.

Alliance for School Choice will be on hand to speak with parents on local school choices. The organization is teaming up with private schools, charter schools, and scholarship tuition programs.

The event is happening tomorrow from 8 a.m. till 11 a.m. at the Reid Park Zoo. Kids get in for free with paid adult admission to the zoo.
