Officials: Boy struck by Pima County Sheriff's Deputy

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

A child was injured in an accident involving a Pima County Sheriff's deputy on Tucson's south side around 4:45 p.m. today.

According to the Tucson Fire Department, the 10-year-old boy was struck at South Campbell Avenue and Wyoming.

He was transported to the University of Arizona Medical Center with severe injuries, according to the Tucson Fire Department.

Campbell is closed from Irvington south to East Bantam Road. Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
