Tucson, AZ (KOLD) - Former Wildcat Mark Melancon says he never set the All-Star game as a career goal, he sets team goals, but getting the invite is a neat experience. The humble reliever drove into New York last night with his wife and has now set up shop in the NL clubhouse. He's been busy documenting his trip ever since.
The picture featured below was taken by Melancon as he arrived in the clubhouse to greet the other NL All-Stars.
Not only is he in an elite fraternity in that group, but Melancon also becomes the first Andy Lopez product to play in the mid summer classic. Click on the video screen to hear the Pittsburgh set up man put this experience into perspective earlier today.
