Storm damage causes Green Valley gas line break - Tucson News Now

Three residents displaced following Green Valley gas line break

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Three people have been displaced after a severe monsoon storm caused a gas line break in Green Valley this afternoon.

Green Valley Fire District officials said a eucalyptus tree fell onto a single story quadplex apartment complex near La Canada and Esperanza Boulevard, which led to significant damage to the building, and also caused a gas line on the roof to fail.

Southwest Gas stopped the leak and Green Valley Fire secured the scene.

The gas and electric supply was turned off, and the building was deemed unsafe due to severe roof and water damage. Three residents were displaced.

There were multiple people in the building at the time of the incident but no injuries were reported.
