PHOENIX (CBS5) -

A woman is in the hospital after she was rescued from South Mountain on Wednesday.

The Phoenix Fire Department said the woman was not wearing much when she was found about noon. Rescuers wrapped her up and brought her down the mountain.

The woman, believed to be between the ages of 30 and 40, was very combative, according to PFD.

PFD said they're looking into what led to her altered level of consciousness. She was put on advanced life support.

No other details were immediately available.

It was about 100 degrees in Phoenix early Wednesday afternoon.
