PHOENIX (CBS5) -

Authorities in Phoenix say a crash involving three vehicles caused serious injuries Thursday afternoon.

ADOT said the eastbound lanes of Interstate 10 have partially reopened at 40th Street in Phoenix. Three right lanes have reopened. The HOV and two left lanes are closed, according to ADOT.

The crash happened about 3:40 p.m.

ADOT recommends drivers use Loop 202 Red Mountain as a detour, as there is still a significant backup.
