There are many cowboys in Texas, but it's the cowboys in Tyler that really hit the map.
One thing that gave Tyler the top ranking was the trucks.
"We have all types of cowboys that come in here whether it be West Texas or East Texas, but yea we do have a lot of cowboy boots that come in here," said Dave Bates, general manager at Peltier Chevrolet. "Cowboys want space in their trucks, they want the comforts of a car and they also want the bed of a pickup truck. You also need the towing capacity whether you're towing a trailer or a boat,"
Kickerz, the coffee shop in the shape of a cowboy hat, helped boost Tyler's ranking.
"We have a lot of cowboys come up. Some of them come up on their horse and it's really cool serving them," said Andria Friday, the manager at Kickerz.
You'll get special drinks like the Cowboy Cooler, and you'll be tipping these servers in a cowboy boot.
Then you have to look like a cowboy.
"Well, most of your cowboys are going to buy your traditional hats. If it's summer time, you're going to be wearing your straw hat. A lot of the cowboys are wearing your long sleeve Western shirts, your Wrangler denim jeans, your Western boots and the belts are your own choice," said Robert Weesner, a salesmen at Cavender's.
Longview ranked fifth as the Most Cowboy-esque City, but beg to differ on their ranking.
"We've got two rodeos. We have Dalton Days, which is an historical event that happened right here in Longview. We've got Western wear stores. We got bars. I can't imagine why we would rank number five. We at least need to be up there with number one. Sorry Tyler.
In the end, it's clear that the one thing both Tyler and Longview share is Texas pride. Yee-haw!
