The Susan G. Komen Greater Cincinnati affiliate announced the Cincinnati Reds will host "Komen Night" on Saturday, Sept. 28 for the 4:10 p.m. game against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Festivities surrounding Komen Night will include a pre-game parade around the field featuring Komen ticketholders starting at 3:10 p.m. The Reds will offer those who have pre-registered for the Greater Cincinnati Race for the Cure® before July 31 the opportunity to take advantage of buy one, get one free tickets. The Cincinnati Reds are offering the special discount in honor of "Komen Night."
"We've been lucky to have our annual Greater Cincinnati Race for the Cure hosted at Great American Ball Park for the past five years," Komen Executive Director Peggy Isenogle said. "We're grateful the Cincinnati Reds will help us shine an even brighter spotlight on the fight against breast cancer with this special evening."
All Komen ticket holders at the September 28 game are encouraged to wear pink Komen gear and arrive in the fan zone by 2: 50 p.m. in order to participate in the pre-game parade.
