The Police National Softball Championship is going on this weekend at the River City Sports Complex.
Retired Cincinnati Police Officer Dick Vogel was inducted into the Police Softball Hall of Fame during the opening ceremony on Friday.
The 45-year tradition used to take place in Dayton, Ohio and is being held for the first time ever in Cincinnati this year. Teams from all over the country came to town to compete in the three-day tournament.
As part of the event, a donation is made towards The Shield, a local organization that helps officers' families that are killed or injured with quick money to help them out.
