Tonight is a special benefit concert for the families of the 19 Granite Mountain Hotshots who died in the line of duty.
The ‘Country Cares Concert' will kick off tonight at 7:30 p.m.
This story of course hits close to home for firefighters all across the state and the country. It has touched most everyone who hears the story. The goal for tonight's concert is to allow people to give back.
Dierks Bentley, the headliner for tonight's Country Cares benefit concert stated he wanted to do some good for the people of his home state. Also playing in tonight's concert is The Band Perry, Randy Houser and David Nail. The six thousand tickets sold out almost immediately after going on sale.
It is being held in the Toyota Center in Prescott Valley, the same building that just two weeks ago hosted the memorial for those same 19 men.
The Country Cares Concert is hoping to raise as much money as possible to go directly to the families of the fallen, where 51 children are left without fathers.
The concert gets going tonight at 7:30 p.m., but the group hopes the impact from the money raised will last for decades to come.
