SAN DIEGO, CA (Tucson News Now) - Emergency crews stage a dramatic rescue near the Mexican border of San Diego.

Nearly two dozen people were pulled from a storm drain Thursday morning. Somehow the group got stuck in a drain pipe while trying to illegally cross the border into the U.S.

The San Diego Fire Department used a ladder to get the group to safety.

Two people had to be taken to a hospital and were treated for minor injuries. The rest were turned over to Homeland Security officers.
