The Cochise County Sheriff's office was advised of an armed robbery that had occurred last night at 10:45 p.m.
The robbery had taken place at Doc's Chevron, 1830 S Highway 92 in Sierra Vista, AZ.
Upon deputies' arrival, they met with a male victim who identified himself as the night clerk for the Chevron.
The victim advised deputies that he was clearing the store and completed his administrative tasks just before 10 p.m. He had locked the front doors and turned off the lights before setting the alarm and exiting through the back door.
As the victim opened the door, he was met by a male subject who was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, dark gloves and a green Halloween mask.
The male subject was also armed with a hand gun and a tire iron which he pointed at the clerk and advised him to get back inside the business and turn off the alarm. The armed suspect demanded all of the money in the registers.
The victim was able to get back into the two cash registers and give the contents of cash to the suspect who then told the victim not to move for twenty minutes "or else". The victim complied before he fled to a nearby IHOP to call for help.
The victim stated that the suspect was tall and skinny; however, he was unable to provide additional details.
The investigation is being continued by the sheriff's office. Anyone with information regarding this incident should contact Cochise County Sheriff's office at 432-9500. All received information will be confidential.
