TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Power is now back for roughly 9,000 families following Friday's storm, according to Tucson Electric Power.

Residents on the south side spent Saturday cleaning up after the storm knocked down power poles and uprooted trees.

TEP continued to replace 12 downed power poles in the area of Park and Fair.

Carol Johnston has lived in the neighborhood for 25 years and planted a tree that toppled over Saturday.

"We've already made three trips to the dump to haul off the big branches that we cut up yesterday and last night," said Johnston. "I hope it goes around us. I don't want it to come back over today. I don't think I need anymore stress today."

A few miles away at Irvington and Campbell, a couple more power poles knocked over. Crews plan on working through the weekend.
