Brush piles to be burned in Sierra Vista Ranger District

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - The Sierra Vista Ranger District on the Coronado National Forest will start burning brush piles in late July.

Officials say the smoke will be most prevalent in the morning, but limited and sporadic throughout the day east of the Huachuca Mountains in Hunter, Stump, and Ash Canyons.

Smoke may also be visible on Highway 92 between Ash and Hunter Canyons; motorists are asked to be cautious in the area.
