TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Tortolita Middle School's principal will be absent on the first day of school on Monday.

Tamara Crawley with the Marana Unified School District says principal Barbara Kohl will be on an approved Family Medical Leave Act absence, though three administrators will be present on campus.

Associate Principals Todd Ponder and Brian Paradis, along with former MCAT High School Principal Lynne Prouty will be available as Tortolita's temporary leadership team.

Crawley says school is set to start on schedule with no problems.

Kohl's projected return date is set for August 13.
