TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Authorities suspect an alleged arsonist is responsible for the total loss of a Tucson mobile home that caught fire Thursday.

The Tucson Fire Department determined a nearby shed was intentionally set aflame, and the fire spread and engulfed the residence in the 1100 block of W. Miracle Mile around 3:15 p.m.

Barrett Baker with TFD said fire units had to fight the fire defensively because 50 percent of the mobile home was aflame and threatened a nearby power line.

The twenty-one firefighters on scene were not injured and were able to control the fire in about ten minutes.

The residence was deemed a total loss and Tucson Police Department detectives continue to investigate who started the fire.
