Detectives are investigating the cause of death of a decomposed body found by kids in a west side wash on Wednesday.
Sgt. Chris Widmer with the Tucson Police Department said the kids were playing in the Painted Hill Wash near Ironwood Drive and Greasewood around 5 p.m. when they discovered a decomposed body.
Widmer said the body was so badly decomposed that it could not be determined if the death was a homicide but the victim has been identified as a male.
Detectives were on scene and the investigation was ongoing.
