LAS VEGAS, NV (Tucson News Now) - A construction worker in Las Vegas has been taken to the hospital after reportedly falling about a hundred feet near the MGM Grand Casino marquee.
Police were alerted to the fall on Wednesday. MGM resorts says a contract crew was on site upgrading the casino's large marquee sign at the time of the fall.
The worker's friend said he hit a palm tree on the way down and landed in some bushes. He sustained a broken shoulder and leg along with a collapsed lung.
Las Vegas police say the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is now investigating the incident.
