Police: Bike bandit robs and shoots teen

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

The Cleveland Division of Police Fourth District Detective Bureau is investigating an aggravated robbery and shooting that occurred Thursday, August 1, 2013 at 2:30 PM.

Police say a 16 year old black male victim was approached by a black male riding a BMX type bicycle, the suspect produced a handgun and robbed the victim.

The suspect shot the victim several times during the robbery. He was hit in his torso and legs.

The suspect is described as a black male wearing a light colored shirt and black pants. He has a street name of "Fattie Mike".

He was last seen riding the bicycle eastbound on Benham from East 116th Street.

The victim was transported to MetroHealth Medical Center where he is being treated for his injuries.
