Sierra Vista man suspected of drug sales

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

A Sierra Vista man was arrested Friday for reported weapon misconduct and allegedly selling cocaine, according to police.

The investigation began in February of 2012 and ended July 2 when officers discovered more than 64 grams of cocaine, three firearms and numerous items consistent with packaging and selling of illegal drugs at 34-year-old Valente Jesus Arellano's property in the 5500 block of S. Moson Road.

Sierra Vista Police Department's Community Response Team detectives, Homeland Security Investigations federal agents, Federal Bureau of Investigation and Border Patrol all worked on the investigation.  

Arellano was charged with possession of narcotic drugs, possession of narcotic drugs for sale, three counts for misconduct involving weapons, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.

He is being held on $500,000 bond in the Cochise County Jail.
