Reward offered in possible poaching case

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Arizona Game and Fish is offering a reward for information leading to an arrest in the possible illegal killing of a deer last year.

Up to $1,250 is being offered for information about the case from the opening day of the 2012 archery deer hunting season.

The incident happened near the old airstrip north of Biosphere 2 between 6 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Aug. 24, 2012.

"Any information, no matter how small, may be useful," Regional Supervisor Raul Vega said.  "We need the public's help."

Anyone with information about the case is urged to call the Game and Fish Operation Game Thief hotline toll-free at (800) 352-0700 and reference OGT No. 12-002327.
