The Tucson Botanical Gardens is hosting Twilight Thursday on August 15th.
The Gardens are open from 5 to 8 PM with live music, small bites (including ice cream), original art, face painting for the kids, and of course strolls along garden paths during the cooler evening hours.
On the 15th, the Gardens will host artist C.J. Shane.
Below is a sample of her work titled "July Mid-Day, Tucson".
According the Gardens Shane "is a visual artist and writer. Throughout the years, she has experimented in several media, but her primary interest is in painting, artists' books and relief printmaking. Shane exhibits nationally and internationally and her work is found in private and institutional collections. The natural world, especially the beautiful Sonoran Desert, continues to be the greatest source of grounding and inspiration in Shane's life and work. She is also deeply influenced by the cultures of Mexico and China, two countries where she has lived and traveled extensively."
Live music is from The Cordials.
This local band has been on the Tucson music scene for over 2 years.
