PHOENIX (CBS5) -

An Arizona man has created a lasting tribute for family and friends of the fallen Granite Mountain Hotshots who lost their lives fighting the Yarnell Hill Fire on June 30.

He's made 19 handcut crosses out of wood, each one bearing a name of the Yarnell 19. He also carved a plaque for the surviving Hotshot.

Ed, who didn't give his last name, reached out to CBS 5 News to say he did it "out of the kindness of my heart."

He plans to present his handiwork to the Prescott Fire Department this weekend.

Ed said he knows the pain families are going through. He lost his brother three years ago to a brain tumor and he's unemployed.

"I have struggled but I wanted to make these for the families of the fallen," he wrote.

Earlier this month, another expression of gratitude literally came to the surface.

Mortimer Family Farms dedicated an elaborate crop sculpture to the Hotshots.

Mortimer Family recently announced the tribute on their website saying, "Thank you for all your service and sacrifice. We will never forget you and your families!"

Mortimer Family Farms is located on the S.E. corner of Highway 69 & 169 in Dewey-Humboldt.

There's a batch of eggs under recall for a dangerous bacteria and at least one family in the Baton Rouge area says it was affected. Chances are some of those eggs might be in your fridge.
