TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Rio Rico will get their rematch against Tennessee.

The Junior League Baseball squad knocked off Lafayette, Louisiana Thursday night 7-5 in suburban Detroit Michigan to advance to the United States Championship game.

Goodlettsville, Tennessee beat Rio Rico 3-1 in the World Series opener for both teams last weekend.

Now they will play at 4 p.m. (Tucson Time) Friday for the right to take on the International champion in Saturday's World Series Final. Chinese Taipei faces Curacao in the International Championship game.

Rio Rico broke a 1-1 tie with three runs in the 4th and never trailed after that.

Louisiana threatened in the 7th getting two on and bringing the go-ahead run to the plate, but Rio Rico reliever German Rodriguez induced a game-ending double play to snuff out the Southwest's last stand.

Angel Chavez had three hits and three RBI. The five runs allowed by Rio Rico matched the five runs their pitched had allowed in their first three games.
