TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

A man who was one of Tucson's Most Wanted in connection with the shooting death of a Tucson teenager was sentenced today for a different charge.

Max LaMadrid was sentenced to 7 1/2 years for shooting a gun at a non-residential structure.

He also received credit for a year and 81 days already served.

LaMadrid was found not guilty of first-degree murder, second-degree murder and manslaughter just about a month ago.

LaMadrid was accused of shooting and killing 16-year-old Tanee Natividad in 2001 at a midtown restaurant.

Investigators say LaMadrid thought he was shooting at someone else.

Two previous trials ended in hung juries on the murder charge, but LaMadrid was convicted on the weapons charge.
