Free movie and science at the U of A

The University of Arizona and the Lunar and Planetary Laboratory are hosting a free family friendly event. Armageddon, starring Bruce Willis, about an asteroid heading toward earth while a  rag-tag crew work to stop it from destroying earth.

Before the movie, a presentation will be given by a real asteroid hunter. Dante Lauretta who was the principal investigator of the OSIRIS-Rex asteroid mission will talk about asteroids and recent missions to find out more about the giant rocks in space.

The Event is Free and will be on Saturday September 7th from 6 PM – 10 PM. People are asked to bring flashlights, blankets, and chairs. Aside from the movie and presentations, trivia games will be played and snacks sold. All of the proceeds will go to support U of A clubs.
