    Last week Border Patrol agents seized more than $1 million in marijuana, as suspects attempted to smuggle it across the border into the U.S. In a recent release from U.S. Customs and Border Protection, agents with the Ajo Station, stopped three suspected smuggling attempts on Sept. 11.

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Tucson Padres fans who donate two canned food items on August 26 will be admitted to the game for free.

According to a news release, the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona will be collecting donated items of canned meats, canned vegetables, canned soups canned fruit and canned tomato products at each entrance to Kino stadium on Monday.

Gates open at 6 p.m. for the 7:05 p.m. game against the Reno Aces.

"The Tucson Padres, over our three years here, are pleased to have helped numerous Tucson charities," Vice President and General Manger Mike Feder said. "Now in our last week of the season, we would like to reach out and help a great organization, the Community Food Bank.  Please join us on Monday and donate to help families in need in our community."
